***Yes I have and yes I do as often as is possible for me. For years I did a Holy Hour daily.
Note this is not a mandatory practice, yet next to daily Mass it is many believe, the surest and shortest way to develope a powerful and personal relationship with Jesus:thumbsup:
Many cannot invision time more fruitfully spent [outside of Holy Mass].
Your first statement is pathecially commom in these present times. Further the primary reason for this are the abuse of “Extrodinary” Eucharistic ministers. The Idult [exception] granted was for limited and specified use.
Everyday, everywhere and nearly every Mass is HARDLY extrodinary; it is as evideniced by the the effects on piety and it’s distruction! … EXTREMELY ORDINARY
The National PEW REPORT in 2008 reported that in1970 nearly 75% of self-professed Catholics attended Sunday and Holyday Mass. In 2008 that numer had DROPPED to 23%
Actions speak so much more forceably than words… and what has happened to Catholic Piety ought not to be a surprise to anyone paying attention. If ANYONE can distribute Christ Real presence, and if EVERYONE can just take Jesus into there own hands…
Well what’s the Big deal:shrug:
For the sake of Community, we have done away with piety, Awe, Wonder, even the most simple signs of respect. This is by FAR a greater scandal than the “sex abuse” issues, as GRAVE as they are!
Without ANY DOUBT, Jesus suffers more from these ABUSES than He did in His Passion and Death
