No problem with that in the least.I have no desire to receive from the chalice at all. I receive Our Lord fully and completely each Mass I go to, and I go daily.

My faith is very well formed and is continuing to be formed on a daily basis. I think your statement that those of us who choose to receive both are either ignorant of Church teaching and show a lack of faith is insulting. You can do what you like, but you don’t get to tell the rest of us we are doing something wrong.Well their faith isn’t informed by documented Church teaching.
They either don’t “give assent” (definition of faith) to the teaching on the Real Presence/Transubstantiation or they don’t understand their faith…or they give in to “feelings” thinking that they’re doing something other than getting in two lines!

Thanks for providing a conclusive point.cold sore on my lip.
People are living longer. Those who have celiac don’t often have anaphylactic shock reactions but are constantly subject to poor health, inflammatory diseases (like arthritis) and bowel disorders. The people who are now living healthy lives would have succumbed to any number of illnesses before…most of them “unrelated” to diet.Anne1964:![]()
What is it with the pandemic of celiac disease? I guess there were always people unable to eat bread, but it really seems to have grown. The Precious Blood is offered at Easter in my parish and daily to anyone who has celiac disease.
Its a real problem for a priest to figure out how much wine to buy for this purpose. What makes it difficult is that its all supposed to be consumed at the mass- it isn’t like the Hosts which can be saved for a future mass if too much is consecrated. My parish never offers this.
What puzzles me is that before the current era, and even now in many parts of the world, bread is a staple without which, a lot of people would starve.I think now celiac is now diagnosed, where I suspect in the past someone may have just had “digestion trouble” or some unknown illness bogging somebody down all the time,
