You quoted a verse from a tractate. I posted the entire folio page to show you that the verse you quoted is non-existant.

The Talmud is a multi-volume commentary on the Mishna, which was oral laws given to Moses and passed down. The Talmud contains opinions form hundreds of sages and rabbis spanning centuries. So you will find many opinions that are not followed. On the internet you will find many, many sites that have misquotes and outright made up verse that are wrongly attributed to the Talmud. It is simply one of the newer methods of spreading anti-semetism.

I never said any such thing. Out of the 2,000 pages plus of Talmud, there are maybe 2 dozen words on Jesus, which were inserted at a time when Christians routinely persecuted and murdered Jews. As I also stated, these references to Jesus were subsequently removed and have been put back in, in some editions, as a kind of footnote.

That 5 million was on the day of the Tsunami before anyone knew the extent of the damage. It was then increased to $35M and then $350 million when we knew of what the damage was. This does not include what private agencies did. Although I heard Scientologist went over there for which the US should apologize.😃

The last eight years of my career as a fed, I was an Arabic linguist and a Middle East analyst. Believe it. It’s the truth. No matter what news sources you trust. I get most of my electronic media news coverage thru NPR, and they have pretty good coverage on how large groups of Muslims in most Muslim countries hate Westerners and Jews.

I’ve read a good deal of Talmud and did not get that impression at all. Could you cite a few examples?

Can these passages be removed…? why would they want to write this filth in their Talmud, is not holy to them and scared…? How could they do this…?..and why…?
 
This could develop into a delicious ‘folie à deux’, couldn’t it?

Two people without the slightest understanding of what the Talmud is, gleaning an understanding of what it says from somewhere like Stormfront or Jewwatch, play out their fantasies about us naughty Jews.

Could it be that new life might be breathed into such old tired material?

Hi Paul,

Here is Valke himself showing anti-Christian Talmundic verses throughout this topic. Read the whole topic, as Valke posts a lot of blasphemous verses:

There are plenty of other quotes, but they don’t belong in this topic. Last time I made a topic about the Talmud it got deleted for being “uncharitable”, as any topic criticizing an element modern Judaism is:rolleyes: .

Perhaps next time a Talmud topic comes up I will post some quotes.

Why would I go to a disgusting and racist site like Stormfront or Jewwatch?

Thats a very cheap trick your using, immediately label those who criticize your Talmud as “white supremacists”.

**Let’s be fair, I will admit that I don’t know much about the Talmud and I have no malicious intent towards it or anyone who believes it but please correct me if I’m wrong…is it true that Talmud says Mary was a whore and Jesus deserved to die…? (God forbid)

Perhaps this not the right place to discuss it…? perhaps this not the right thread but I just want to know for my own learning and if it’s so and I hope it’s not so, how could it be since the men who wrote the Talmud have already a certain knowledge about both Marry and Jesus (Peace and blessings of God Almighty be upon them both).**

This is why I have such a high tolerance to criticisms of what the Koran says/teaches. I imagine that my interpertation of a verse can be as wildly inaccurate as Roman Crusaders’ understanding of Talmud.

I expect the equivalent would be a huge Hadith collection really though I’m not sure whether there’d be so much folklore and legend in that!

The only comment I’ve made about the Qur’an here was about language - that you probably had to understand Arabic and its linguistic/poetic conventions to come to grips with it at all.
