I wonder, how many say a pray before they eat,or take time too pray,or at the end of the day ,while their laying ,thank God for what he has given them that day ,not yesterday, not tomorrow,BUT TODAY?

I never miss a pre-meal prayer… Although I must confess, I often say it a little bit unfocused.

I always pray Grace before & after meals. I pray my Liturgy of the Hours for Morning, Afternoon, Evening & Night prayers.

I never pray before or after eating, probably because I’m a snacker. I do pray before bed, using BCP Evening Prayer followed by the Angelus.

I pray three times/day every day and always before meals, even in a restaurant. I usually get up at three or four for contemplation.

I began saying some sort of grace before every meal, even snacks, but then found this redundant and sometimes easy to forget about. As such, I began saying one phrase in my morning prayer to thank God for all of the food and drink I receive on any given day from His divine bounty. Although, when I am home from college, we still say grace before dinner.

May God bless you all abundantly and forever! 🙂

definitely not as often as I should!!!

Our family always prays before the dinner meal. I sometimes pray before breakfast or lunch. I do try to pray as soon as I open my eyes in the morning, just a quick prayer of thanksgiving.

Well, I want to say it is nice to know that their are people out their that remember too thank God for that they receive, may other,s take time too give thanks, for it is GOD that gives us what we need, not what we want… :harp::harp:

Prayer before meals is easy in a house of religious. But after can be difficult due to everyone having to end at the same time esp if there is a speed eater in the midst.

I try to often, in my head, before I pray say the prayer I was taught: “Bless us O Lord, and these Thy gifts, which we are about to receive from Thy bounty, through Christ our Lord. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.”

If only I said this on a more regular basis.
