How Scriptural is Investigative Judgement and shut door doctrine of the SDA?

This came up during another discussion thread. My opinion is that it’s not. However, to better understand their opinion and to discuss this issue I pose the question. I am a meat eater so that my disqualify me for this discussion however I’m intruiged at how they get this from scripture. The statement from the person I discussed a part of this issues was that this is very scriptural. I don’t see how so here is an opportunity for verification.😉

What are those teachings? I’m unfamiliar with them.

The problem with the Shut Door doctrine of the SDA is that they are trying to predict its date of occurrence. There will indeed be a time when we humans will have made our final decision for or against God, and that decision may not be reversed, however it’s going to happen at the end of the world.
I don’t recall seeing “Investigative Judgement” in the article, but it sounds like a good thing, but I can’t really say…
 
here is an article on investigative judgement. The Doctrine goes hand in hand with the shut door consept. I don’t agree with either nor do I see how it is scriptural.
