How should I lead the responsorial psalm?

I am to read the Responsorial Psalm at my fathers funeral.

My mind is somewhat mixed up - please in a catholic church can you confirm that I deliver it in the following way:

“The Responsorial Psalm”

“The response is - The Lord is compassion and love”

“The lord is compassion and love,
slow to anger and rich in mercy
he does not treat us according to our sins
nor repay us according to our faults.”

Q - Do I know repeat the response “The lord is compassion and love” or does the congregation do this; or indeed do we do this together.

Hi,

It is always good to say it with the congregation. Often they don’t have the written form in front of them and can easily forget the response. We will pray for the repose of your father’s soul.
