How should my son make his First Communion banner?

My son is 7-1/2 years old and he will be making his First Communion in four weeks. He has to make a banner and I was wondering if you are allowed to glue pictures onto the banner. Pictures of him, family, couple of friends. Not the entire picture. Just heads (sounds horrible) placed in a collage-type of way. Didn’t know how to exactly do it and if there are any examples of banners with photos on them to look at for an example!
 
This is a question that your son should ask his religious education teacher.
