How should we respond to non-Catholics taking Communion?

i attended a catholic funeral today and there were several people (co-workers) that are not Catholic that went up and received communion.
i know when we talk about it they will say what’s the big deal, so, how do i respond? they obviously don’t believe in it as we do…
