I started dating my husband when we were both 16 and we were married 5 years later. šŸ˜ƒ

I met my wife in November 1989 and married September 1990. Asked her to marry me after dating for a month, and she said ā€œyes!ā€ But then a couple of weeks later, when I showed up with the marriage license application from the government and the Pre-Cana materials, she looked at me shocked and said, ā€œYou were serious?ā€ :yup:

Incidentally, my mom and dad knew each other only six days and got married! They had a really good 39-year marriage, until dad passed away.

Met in July of 96 (my 2d day of work in a new townā€¦he came into my office to check on some HR stuffā€¦)

Started dating a couple weeks later

Engaged the following April (97)

Married April 98 ā€“ just passed our 7yr mark a couple of weeks ago; two beautiful babies and hopefully at least one more if my battered tummy cooperates!!

It was 2 1/2 years (we were first married by a JOP) and we repeated our vows in a wedding Mass the following summer. By then, I was almost 40.

Teenagers in my 60s???

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!

My husband saw me in church (we were Protestant, then) in November of 1989. We became friends in January, started dating in March, and were married by my dad in July 1990. 15 years is coming up with 5 kids. We knew immediately we were meant for eachother and these 15 years have been the best years of my life. We were remarried in the Catholic Church 8 years ago. That was beautiful because our first wedding we knew we were meant for eachother and wanted to live our lives together forever, BUT we didnā€™t know if we were completely compatable. When we remarried after becoming Catholic, I cried. Because I KNEW we were great for eachother and that truely, God meant for us to be together.

How soon after you met your future spouse did you marry him/her?
I met my husband, John, at the end of August We were engaged in November and Married in January. (5 mos total) We will have been married 8 years in 2005 and have 5 wonderful children.
My husband is also named John! We got engaged one month, married the next, pregnant the next. We will be celebrating our 2nd year in August.

I first saw Patricia at our pastorā€™s house, but she disappeared after the meeting was over. It was actually two months before I worked up the nerve to ask her out. Our first date was on September 21, 1994, and we were engaged in December that same year. We thought it would be fitting to have the ceremony on our anniversary, so we dated for one year before we got married. It will be 20 years this year, and she is more beautiful and more precious to me now than ever before! šŸ˜ƒ

My fiancĆ© and I went to high school together and actually did not get along. We started dating the summer after we graduating (June 02), got engaged the First Sunday of Advent Nov 04, which is the same day he told me he wanted to convert from Judaism, and our wedding will be May 2006. So by the time we get married it will be almost fours years exactly. We would get married sooner but a) weā€™re 20 & 21 and have plenty of time b) finishing college and c) we want a big Nuptual Mass and have to wait until after Easter for my fiancĆ© to become Catholic. I am so excited!

We went on our first date in Jan. 1998, got engaged in Oct. 1998 and got married in August 1999. Our first child was born in Nov. 2000 and our second in July 2002.

We began dating at 15 and married 4.5 years later. This June we will celebrate our 16th anniversary!!!

My husband and I started dating in the end of November 1999, got engaged in March 2000 and were married in Dec. 2000 (wanted squeeze it in during the Jubilee year!). Our daughter was born 9 months after our wedding. God is good! Now we have a new baby boy too!

Thanks for making it sound so exciting. Here is the revised copy:

We were high school sweethearts. I was 17 and he was 16. I came home the night I met him and told my mom that I was going to marry him. We married when I was 28 and he was 27. My life is better because of him.

I dunnoā€¦Iā€™m not married yet. We shall see.

My parents dated for I believe 7-8 years prior to marriage (met when my dad was in law school and my mom was a sophomore, dated, as well as lived on opposite coasts for 3 years while my mom was in med school, and 84 they got marriedā€¦then the world got landed with me šŸ˜› )

Sorry. I have a tendency to ramble on (as you well know), so lately I have been working on my succinctness. Thank you!

I met my wife (so iā€™ve been told) when I was 2 years old, when she moved in next door. We walked together to and from school from second grade until graduating H.S. We started dating our soph year of high school. We dated and attended the same college and were wed in 1989 four months before I started basic training (she was not happy). This October will have been wed 16 wonderful years, but I actually can say iā€™ve know her my entire life.

PS - From what our parents have told us, when we were around twelve, my now wife an I said that life would not be fun without each other and that we would have to stay together forever. I guess a higher power agreed with us.

We met in November, got engaged 8 months later at the end of July and married the following July 6. about 19 months from the day we met till the day we married.
