Well they could have said ‘the daughter of Stalin’, that would suffice…I wonder how many people would have read an article entitled “How the daughter of Losif Vissarionovich Dzhugashvili became Catholic”. While you both are correct, it is a matter of getting one’s attention.

Svetlana was not Stalin, Stalin is a reign name and only one person was Stalin. That is quite misleading.
