How the attendance for the All Saints Mass you attended today?

I went to a parish not my own since I was out of town. It was almost full, but part of that was because the parish has a school and all the school kids were there in uniform. If I looked at just adults, maybe 60 percent were adults. However, the parish had 3 mass times today.

We had more people than normal for a Holy Day of Obligation evening mass - about 30 turned up. Most were strangers but a lot of our parishioners are retired and would have gone to the 0930 am mass.
 
Don’t know yet… Mass doesn’t start until 7PM. I expect it to be either packed or full, as it will be in the Extraordinary Form at our Cathedral.
 
Not sure how the morning Mass went, but I’m guessing about 700, with standing room only at the noon Mass…but many have been like me, and attending noon so they can catch game seven of the world series tonight.
 
Well, just went with my mother. Attendance was pretty full, not completely full, but remember they had two other Masses today.
 
In my Diocese, given All Saints is transferred to Sunday, today is, All Souls , 2nd November, will have a big few Masses. We have extra Masses put on by the funeral teams. So we can pray for and celebrate those we buried through the year. These are followed by dinner. And are quite tearful, naturally. But it’s a great way to support those mourning. And pray for the dead.

In Australia we have two weekday Holy Days of Obligation. Every other day is transferred to Sunday. Tyranny of distance.

Ash Wednesday is always packed. Everyone brings their kids. It’s a nice Mass celebrated by the Bishop.

We had a All Saints Day mass at the school where I teach. We’re jam-packed in our little makeshift chapel! Afterwards the kids changed into saint costumes. They were so cute!
 
It was packed. I was a bit bothered though, they usually have confession at 5:30 and no one showed for that.
 
Because of our schedules, we had to go to a nearby parish that offered a vigil mass yesterday. By the time we got to mass, there were trick-or-treaters up and down the streets like ants on a picnic pie.

Mass only had about 20 people, and my teenage son was by far the youngest person there.

I was so thankful they even offered a vigil mass on Halloween. ❤️
 
I went to a second Mass tonight at 7 pm at another church because i needed another communion. Church was 9/10 full. Could barely get a parking spot. They had a procession of school children who dressed as their favorite saints or made a poster on a stick of their favorite saints. It was very nice to see our friends the saints being honored, and nice to see a full Mass.
 
I live in a town of about 7,500 people. Our Mass was at 12:00 noon. My work made it impossible to attend, so we went to a neighboring town this evening (we share the same priest). Standing room only in there. It was glorious!
 
It’s seems like it would be a great idea for parishes to make a big deal about an All Saints Vigil Mass at their parishes. Mass followed by a simple meal where each child would get a baggie of goodies. I’ve heard people talk about it, but I have never actually heard of a parish doing it.
 
Did anyone’s parish go out of its way to make the Mass more special/solemn on this great feast? Music selections, pipe organ, incense, decorations, etc., etc?
 
Was pleasantly surprised by the percentage of seats filled at 7 p.m. Mass tonight, though I think it may have been a little less than for Sunday.

We had two Masses today for All Saints, noon and 7 p.m. For Sundays, we typically have three Masses, including one on Saturday evening.
 
Fairly busy for us. It’s a little hard to tell overall - not only are there multiple Masses, but there are several parishes within about 10min of each other, so people don’t always attend their home parish if they can fit in Mass at another parish more easily (which is what I did).
 
The church I went to (not a member of this parish, but know it well), had a bunch of relics displayed in front of a statue of Our Lady with the Child Jesus.
 
Attended two masses for All Saints. Though in the Philippines, it is not a Holy Day of Obligation. Masses were offered in crypt chapels and cemeteries that day since many people visit cemeteries for Allhallowtide.

For the first Mass (at the nearby parish church - 6 am) the parish was not that filled with people, just like your regular weekday Mass. However, when I attended another Mass later that evening (St. Peter’s Shrine - 7pm) after visiting my dead relatives interred in the crypt of the said shrine, the church was packed with worshippers. Both of those Masses which I attended were in Filipino.

That’s really cool! It’s great when parishes make special efforts like that.
