Some things you might wish to look for (in no particular order of importance):
Here are a few more:
  • Tabernacle at the center of the altar (not off to the side)
  • Eucharistic adoration
  • Available and well-attended confession
  • Pastor’s bulletin columns and homilies that focus on Church teaching (rather than fluff or leftist politics)

Hey, I can’t thank you all enough for your suggestions. It only humbles me and strenghtens my desire to learn more about the Catholic faith when people are so willing to help out. I really appreciate it. God Bless.

Well, they are*** supposed ***to teach the same thing. You could see if the church has a “web presence.”
If they are on the web and uphold authentic Catholic teaching.

Here is an example of one that does:

st-thomascamas.org/

You will see that it is evangelical, sacramental, and liturgical.

Here is one that isn’t.

Wow; the difference between those two is like night and day. I like the Latin sound files at the St. Thomas site, and the article about liurgical “reform.” The St. Philip Neri site is just…sad.

It’s like two completely different religions.

Yes.

Pray for wisdom.

Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness,
and all these things will be added unto you.
