I’ve never been to St. Peters. They drove me around Notre Dame in a tour bus when I went to Paris in the '90’s - one of the many missed opportunities of that trip.

I have been to St. Paul’s cathedral in London on the same trip. Truly a majestic place. I was awestruck by the architecture, the centuries of history, the sheer weight of the stone.

I’m lifting this image from wikipedia, because I never got around to scanning in my hard-copy photos, but I took a similar picture:
