How to be a witness at work?

I think it’s largely going to be in your actions. Do the best you can to show Christ’s love in everything you do, be diligent at your labors, always be honest, do not speak ill of anyone, don’t cuss. Be that light on a lampstand.
 
Be a good example of what it means to live out the Catholic Faith. Be charitable, hardworking, and virtuous. You should also stand up for the Faith should it be questioned or attacked. Praying before & after you eat is also good. Pretty much, just do what every Catholic should do.
 
Always make sure you clean out the microwave when you are done using it.
 
If/when you are asked what you did/are doing for the weekend, be sure to mention mass as your highlight.
 
The workplace is somewhere where evangelism by good work and obedience is what will do the most good and prevent backlash. If someone asks why you’re so generous - with time, assistance, covering shifts, giving rides, lending and ear - tell them because God has been generous to you. Allow the seeds to set in.
 
If someone confides that they are having trouble in their personal lives, offer to pray for them. That might open a conversation. You can also leave prayer cards around the work place if it is the type of place that lends itself to that sort of thing. I used to work for a Catholic hospital and I constantly left Divine Mercy prayer cards everywhere. People took them, too. 🙂 I’d pick up the Watchtowers and chuck them in the round file and replace them with prayer cards.
 
Be joyful, smile and greet everyone, even the cleaning people. Thank people for their help, even if they are correcting you.

Same with doing your own dishes and just in general not leaving a mess for others to pick up.

Speak courteously to everybody, and show a genuine interest in them as people, rather than means to step up a ladder.
 
I was talking to a Catholic mom friend about our old landlords (the sweet, goofy kids that left us with no reliable heat for a month one year when we had a newborn in the house). I told my Catholic mom friend that they had, on the many occasions I got to sit on hold waiting to talk to somebody about some sort of maintenance problem, had Christian contemporary music playing as their on-hold music.

My Catholic mom friend said (and I totally concur), “How about you show me your faith by doing your job?”

Being a screw-up and a Catholic is a bad witness.
