Well I’d say it’s partly how we are made up DNA and all that and partly how we are brought up, ie nature vs nurture. Either or both it is interesting and all God’s will and plan for us.

There are many books on being positive and avoiding negativity.
Depends on your “taste” in wording.
One of the famous books is “The Power of Positive Thinking” by Norman Vincent Peale.
I love all books by the late Father Benedict Groeschel … try "A Still, Small Voice: A Practical Guide on Reported Revelations ".
One of my all time favorite books is “Weeds Among the Wheat” by Father Thomas H. Green. Reading only one page throws me into a trance state … that’s how profound his writing is.
Father Thomas Santa wrote “Understanding Scrupulosity”. … Another favorite of mine.
