Yes, but it’s presbuterosPriest is the correct English term, That is the translation of the Greek presbeteros is “Priest”.

Secondly, when I was a kid, the people only received communion of one kind, not of both as has been mandated since.QUOTE]
Holy Communion of the faithful is not mandated by the Church, nor is it required to be offered under both forms. Any Bishop or Pastor can decide not to offer Holy Communion to the faithful under both forms. Many do not offer both forms at daily Mass. Some do not offer both forms at certain Sunday Masses.
:yup:To be a Eucharist Minister one must be Ordained.
I strongly agree with this statement. The ones that I have met have very good intentions.Although I agree that there are too many EEMs today; I think it’s an erroneous perception to consider that the great majority of them are conniving people who just want to do the job of Priests. I think there are some, particularly some strident women, who do want this. But I think most EEMs are good people who are trying to serve the Lord.
I can vouch for that!Priest is the correct English term, That is the translation of the Greek presbeteros is “Priest”. That is how the Vatican translates that word. That is how the Douay-Rheims translates it. Are you saying I am older than the Douay-Rhiems Bible?

The fault lies not with them, but with these Priests who frankly don’t care about their Orders at all.
Which one, that presbeteros is translated as ‘priest’ or that I’m older than the D-RI can vouch for that!![]()

You do, you know. I’ve been an EMHC for thirty years here in the UK, and I wasn’t the first in my parish. I’m pretty certain I’ve received from an EMHC in Spain, as well..
EMHC are also a predominantly American phenomenom. You don’t really see EMHC in any other countries. .
