How to bless a home?

My daughter would like to bless her new apartment. Does she need a priest to do this, or can she do it herself? She has holy water. If she can perform it herself, how would she do it?
 
It’s probably best if she calls in a priest from her local parish.
 
I believe a priest is required. I think there are prayers she could pray but a blessing of this nature comes from a priest. Also consider getting some blessed salt.

The priest of the local parish should have a book of formal blessings. A formal blessing is more beautiful, because it is performed in unity with the service of the church. It can be connected with a formal ceremony of bringing the cross in procession into every room, hanging on the wall and the rosary prayed, kneeling in front of it. Our Lady might wish to have a little shrine in the apartment home. I pray, that whatever happens it comes from a humble and contrite heart.🙂
