How to choose a parish? Or does the parish choose you?

The parish I attend isn’t my “home” parish, and my daughter was baptized at yet another parish (my sister’s) while I was still attending RCIA. I started going to this parish during my discernment as a friend attended there. It turned out to be the only parish where I could attend RCIA and the only one I can attend on a regular basis due to the large number of Masses. I haven’t even set foot in my “home” parish. I haven’t tried to register yet though.
