How to control your mind

Hi there,

Sorry I know this is a topic OCD/scrupulous people often make when they need irl help.

But I wondered if anyone had advice on how I physically stop blasephemous thoughts ? Or rebuke them with as little effort as possible ? I think I over physically react when they happen , causing headaches etc
 
I don’t know that there is a way to “stop” them. You just have to crowd them out I think. Do something to take your mind off them. Physically changing your environment can help. (Leaving the room - going for a walk if you aren’t under total lockdown, etc)
 
Thoughts are like birds. You can’t stop them from flying overhead but you can keep them from nesting in your hair. When a thought pops in your mind, acknowledge it for what it is, just a random thought of no consequence, and let it go. Just move on.
