You seem to imply that you do believe in a Creator. That’s a good start“I honestly wish from the bottom of my heart that I could free you from the preconception that religion is the only way to whatever Higher Power may be up there.”
“I am what I like to think of as a freethinker: I don’t like to dismiss things offhand until I have all the evidence. Unfortunately, when it comes to religion, we never have all the evidence, so I cannot come to any positive logical conclusions.”
So I will submit to you this: If you try to understand the history and context of Qur’an, the evidence is clear that there is no way a man could have come up with It on his own, nor could it have been inspired by Satan such that only logical conclusion is that It really is from The God that created us which obliges you to accept Its Message.“Logic and reason are the things which I trust to lead me to truth, not the blind faith that I was raised with, because blind faith differs by area- someone else may have blind faith in a different religion and have never even heard of Jesus.”
There is some evidence that you probably have not considered that I would invite you to consider. There’s an excellent seminar called “Divine Speech: Literary Beauty of Qur’an.” It goes over a lot of the details, history, and context of many of the verses of Qur’an.

If you can afford to take a weekend of your time and spend a few hundred dollars, I highly suggest you consider as life on earth is short but our life after our death is eternal. Perhaps if you contact them in advance and tell them you’re a Non-Muslim searching for the truth, they might even waive the $85 tuition fee for you and possibly arrange for lodging (no guarantees) such that all you need to do is pay for the plane ticket.
Part of the course even goes over how Qur’an refutes the logical fallacies people make.
Even if you don’t end up believing, if you are an open minded and sincere person I assure you that you will enjoy the class!
