How to evangelize my Grandpa?

Hey everyone. I have a Grandpa who I am not sure if he is an Atheist or what but he says he is not sure what to believe. I want to evangelize him but I am not sure how. I am going to invite him to Mass this weekend. What else can I do?
 
ask him if hed be interested in reading something …if he can still read…give him something simple or informative stuff reflecting what the Church believes or about the Eucharist or something you think he may take interest in
 
My humble advice would be…be an example of love and faith.In discussions you can relate things that are happening in the world to how Jesus taught us to be.By all means invite him to Mass and pray.Pray for guidance from God to help you know how to lead your Grandpa.

Love is the most important thing.Let your Grandpa see how being a Catholic has made you such a loving wonderful person.He will be inspired by your actions.As St Francis said “Preach the Gospel at all times and when necessary use words”.By our very actions we are bringing God to everyone.By loving example your Grandpa will be inspired. By your kindnesses to others, your concern for others,your corporal works of mercy and your prayerful life he will see what being a Catholic is.

"By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another "(John 13:35).

Romans 12:16 “Be in harmony with one another. Do not have a high opinion of yourselves, but be in agreement with common people. Do not give yourselves an air of wisdom.”

It may take a long time Holly but your example of faith is what will lead him .God bless

You can always share books and articles with him that you have found to be a blessing.

Meanwhile you offer the Divine Mercy Chaplet novena for him, keeping in mind Our Lord’s promise for the conversion of people. Then, ya gotta be the very bestest grandkid ever, just loving him as you do yourself. 🙂

Hey everyone. I invited my Grandpa to Mass today but he said he has decided to start going to a historical family church which is a Methodist church. This is definitely good news. Pray that he at least starts having faith in God again.
 
Thanks everyone for your advice and prayers. They are greatly appreciated. Does anyone know of a good Catholic Bible I can get him that contains articles about the basics of the faith or such? I am thinking about getting him a New Catholic Answers Bible.
 
Holly3278- I think this is absolutely wonderful that you’re willing to evangelize to other people (yes I’ve read and I think I’ve replied to your other thread) including your grandfather.

I don’t mean to pry but is this your grandfather who recently lost his wife (your grandmother)?

You may not know this Holly3278 but you have been a true inspiration to me–I’ve been slowly telling my (younger) family members about Our Lord, Our Lady, Saints, and the Catholic Church and faith.

Does your Parish have a library maybe you could borrow a Bible from them? or you could ask the Parish office or your (a) parish Priest that you need a Bible.

What about the Catechism of the Catholic Church book?

Does your grandpa enjoy reading? or would he rather watch a movie? The reason for asking is because maybe you could recommend a book by the author Scott Hahn and perhaps if he enjoys a movie well perhaps a movie about a Saint would be good.

Holly3278, what is it about the Catholic Church and faith that motivates you? I don’t want you to answer this question on CAF but maybe you can explain this to your grandfather and if you like you could invite him to Mass.
