A very strong misconception Jerry. Pantheism isn’t really a good fit for Advaita. Now a days philosophical hinduism is based on panthestic ideology of advaita vedanta. Jesus is irrelevant to them. But if you read their holy scriptures, we can find shadow of christ in that.
Then again I suppose it depends on how one is defining “Pantheism.”
Purusha isn’t really a good fit for a Christ-figure either. Its more like the Chinese “Pan Gu” as his body i used to create the universe. After creating the sky, waters, and the earth, the supreme spirit of the Lord almighty thought “I created the worlds. Now to provide for and to save these worlds I have to create a savior.” Thinking thus He gave birth to a man from himself. (Ithareya Upanishad 1.1.3)
Your best correlate would be Vishnu, of which some Vaishnava sects do claim that Jesus of Nazareth as yet another Avatara of Vishnu.
It should be stated however, that those following a more traditionalist bent toward the Vedas would be quite uncomfortable making such a statement. In the same way that they would be quite uncomfortable acknowledging the Hare Krishna movement to be a legitimate segment of Vaishnava.
Its kind of something like that issue regarding what happens to people who aren’t Catholics or Orthodox after they die. Some say that the Mystical Body of Christ extends to corners unknown and unseen and encompasses people who may not even know it. While others of your brethren might put their foot down and insist on an exclusivist claim by equating salvation with actual membership to the Church (however so conceived).
