How to explain the Incarnation, that God did not have sex with Mary

An atheist keeps insisting that if the incarnation happened that God must have had sex with Mary. How do I respond to this?
 
God doesn’t have a body.

If what he means is that God inseminated Mary, he’s close, but still not quite there. The Holy Spirit overshadowed Mary, and she was impregnated. No penetration, no insemination, just impregnation.

The whole point is that it wasn’t a “normal” occurrence…!

He does not believe in God. He is trying to use this to show me that I am wrong to believe in my faith. But I know that he is wrong.

His view of God is that God has a body and God is a spirit. he probably thinks that because he can’t see God or touch God that must mean that their is no God. Tell him God is like the wind which we can’t touch but the wind touches us. We don’t know where wind comes from or where it goes but we know when it blows! Since God is a spirit, he overshadowed Mary and has nothing to do with body parts.
