I have been investagating various Christian faiths, comparing them to their biblicalness and whatnot. I on occasion go to mass. I have noticed that the local church does not have a bible study where as to read the bible and ask questions, I fear that the Catholic Student Bible is horrid in giving in depth explaintations on things. As I am not Catholic I do not feel comfortable in demanding such a service from this church. Does anyone know where I could go or what would be the proper procedure I must do to find an orthadox Catholic bible study?

Hi Toten

Try adding your zip code to this search, it worked for my area.

google.com/search?hl=en&q=Small+Group+Bible+Studies+Catholic++

Check to see if you have a local Catholic College and check around there.

Call your local priest.

Check your phone book for Catholic Social services, Knight of Columbus, look under Organizations in yellow pages for catholic groups and simply call around.

every parish may not be offering bible study every week of the year, but most parishes have at least one bible study for adults each year. try neighboring parishes, check the diocesan website, or Catholic campus ministry of nearby colleges.

Emmaus Road publishing has some good Bible studies (*Mystery of the Kingdom *by Edward Sri, a study of the Gospel of Matthew, is great!)
