My life is weird. I am very blessed that i have a home, a job, a bed to sleep in and food and alot of family members i am surrounded with. And also a nice car.
But i fail to have friends. I never had a best friend in my life, i dunno why, but i ahve been used so many times and have been taking advantage of. College didn’t work out for me. I do have alot of weakness. And I have heard if you try to store your riches on heaven you will be the least of heaven.
i have asked a pastor one time how to get to heaven. He said to get into heaven your life has to be turned upside down.
Now my family members they are not really into God, they are so focused on about how big their houses air, and the latest new car, tv, clothes, jobs. They look down on me for being poor, and not wanting to find a rich man or trying to get rich.
I want to go to heaven so bad and to be with Jesus and don’t ever have to worry about this pain on earth. I believe that i will see my ansestors and i will ahve true friends up there.
Imagingin is one of my family members are in desparate need liek for ex. cancer, i will appear to them in a dream and let them know everythgin is ok. It like what see on unsolved mysteries where this teenager died in a car accident and she appeared in her mothers bedroom telling her she is ok and that she is with the Lord…

Is it ok day dreaming about being in heaven, and being a famous saint or God messanger?

i am no expert, actually, very far from even being a good Catholic, but i will make an attempt here to help you. if i get something wrong, hopefully someone will correct me 🙂

nobody will know if they are going to heaven while they are here on this earth. we will only find out our eternal destination once we have died and are standing in front of Jesus. from what i have learned from others here on this forum, God has given us SO MANY gifts, and when we stand in front of Jesus we should have many good works to bring to Him as gifts for Him.

there is no formula for getting to heaven. everyone is different and has their own path. try to do the best you can, and when you make mistakes, try to do your best to correct them. pray and participate in the sacraments. when you become afraid, smile and think of the hope that Jesus has given us by His passion. Catholics focus on the crucifixion and death of Jesus not because we are sadistic, but because of the LOVE that is behind the act Jesus performed for us.

daydreaming about being a saint is good, but don’t let it lead to pride, and don’t slack off in your prayers because you feel like you are getting to heaven and don’t need to work so hard. life is difficult and will be a struggle till the day we die. but Jesus promised us His burden is not heavy.

read the lives of the saints for good ideas on how to grow closer to God. may i recommend St Therese of Lisieux (spelling?) to start with? don’t worry about your family criticizing you. pray to God for faith, hope and charity, to help in overcoming your anxiety and fears.

one thing that has brought great peace to my life, is visiting a perpetual adoration chapel two or three times a week and reading the bible. this doesn’t really make sense to me yet, but God has really helped me to overcome my fears and anxieties just by doing this.

one last thing in my rambling 🙂 God works slowly and deliberately. He does not rush or hurry. expect to grow slowly, over the course of months or years. don’t despair if you fall, life has many ups and downs, but always turn to God in good times and bad, and WAIT for Him to do His work.

God Bless, and peace be with you…

Many saints knew they were going to be in heaven: Santa Teresa de Jesús and Saint Faustina are examples.

To be a saint you have to prepare to SUFFER. There is no other way.

You stay a Catholic and die in a state of grace.

Ask Jesus Christ to not only be your God and Savior, but to be your best friend, and live your life in the state of Grace, through the Sacraments. If you die in the state of Grace, you may still go to purgatory first, but you will eventually go to heaven. Never allow yourself to remain in the state of mortal sin. Go to confession frequently and receive the Sacraments. If you desire it, and you ask for it, your relationship with Jesus Christ will grow strong and you will have some friends. People who live with the Spirit of Christ in them attract people, just as Christ did. Not everyone will like you, but some people will be drawn to you, because you reflect Christ. These kinds of friendship help you to grow in Christ. Mostly though rely on Grace from the Sacraments, and I would also suggest at least weekly Holy Hour where you spend time with developing your relaltionship with the Eucharistic Jesus Christ. We on earth don’t have heaven yet, but we do have Christ in the Eucharist.

there is going to be final exam
there is only one question on the exam
Jesus will be conducting the test.
He will say, when you saw Me hungry, thirsty, naked, homeless, sick, imprisoned did you help me? If the answer is yes, you go to heaven, if it is no–not.
that is the judgement of nations in Matthew 25

There are many ways of completing this request of The Lord. Parents do so most daily in working and caring for their families. We do this when we donate to some charity, or share a kind and comforting word with someone. Carers caring for the disables do so…many ways! In fact I feel quite happy to say very probably most everyone completes this request of The Lord in some way.

“Who then will be saved?” ask the apostles of Jesus, who replies “What is impossible to man, is possible to God”.

Matthew Ch. 19
25 And when they had heard this, the disciples wondered very much, saying: Who then can be saved?
26 And Jesus beholding, said to them: With men this is impossible: but with God all things are possible.
No one of their own thoughts, words or the very greatest of deeds deserves salvation and Heaven “with men this is impossible”.
However:
Matthew Chapter 9
12 But Jesus hearing it, said: They that are in health need not a physician, but they that are ill. 13 Go then and learn what this meaneth, I will have mercy and not sacrifice. For I am not come to call the just, but sinners.
Every last single one of us is a sinner and sinful, even our greatest saints… how did St. Teresa and St. Faustina know that they would go to Heaven. I dont think any of us, not even our saints can have a sure guarantee this side of death, since even St. Teresa and St. Faustina retained free will prior to death, remained sinners and thus capable of mortal sin. They did understand however the theological concept that the only gateway to God’s Heaven is through His Loving Mercy and they claimed this Loving Mercy for their souls with boundless confidence and trust…and I am sure in the knowledge that they were sinners begging of The Lord The Grace never to offend Him again and with most firm resolutions never to do so.

Epistle to The Romans:

*What shall we say then? Is there injustice with God? God forbid. 15 For he saith to Moses: I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy; and I will show mercy to whom I will show mercy. *
*Luke Ch. 18
*
13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not so much as lift up his eyes towards heaven; but struck his breast, saying: O god, be merciful to me a sinner. 14 I say to you, this man went down into his house justified rather that the other: because every one that exalteth himself, shall be humbled: and he that humbleth himself, shall be exalted. 15
The gateway to God’s Heaven is His Mercy for all who acknowledge themselves as sinners and ask of God His Mercy which is withheld from none.

Of Your Loving Mercy, Lord, we firmly hope and pray that no soul will die outside of that Mercy. For all things are possible to You. Amen.
