You know those small circle containers with red cloth, and a relic in. I’m not sure where to buy(except ebay)

You can get them from the convents that make the relics… I know that there is a convent of cloistered Augustinian nuns who are quiet famous for providing relics and thecas… also the quality of thecas they provide are quiet good… but I assume there maybe some old local convents that may have some extra used ones 😃

Not Reliquary, but the medal-like container with red cloth. I don’t know where to buy or find a less expensive one.

yeah that’s what I am referring to, the small circular metal containers… if you have know of any traditional convents or old priests they may be able to help you and if your lucky you may even get some relics 😉
a friend asked a cloistered convent for a relic and the nuns gave him a beautiful theca that had a bone relic of St Theresa of Avila. Another friend asked a old priest at the clergy home and he got a huge theca (about as big as a palm) with relics of almost all the apostles and some other saints 😃
The red cloth and the names with the other ornamentation is something that you will have to do it yourself if you already have the relics and just assembling them,

I have a similar problem to yours. A group of sisters were kind enough to send me a first class relic of a beatified holy nun. However, it was made oddly in the form of a prayer card instead of being properly sealed in a theca. Unfortunately, the legitimate appropriate process is quite lengthy and difficult to achieve. I believe that it would need to be first confirmed authentic by a bishop, who stamps it with his official seal before being placed into a theca. This of course, would also be accompanied with an official document from the same bishop. Also, to my knowledge, usually only first or second class relics would be placed in thecas.

check at some old churches and convents… they may have old reliquaries that are not being used 😃
