I was reading through some of the responses on the un-Santa thread and I thought I would get some ideas from people about what they do to make Christmas Catholic in their home.
Any special traditions you do with your family or friends?

Not Catholic, strictly speaking, but I have a Happy Birthday Jesus cake on Christmas day, I only send religious greeting cards, and usually have just a nativity set in the yard for decoration, which I don’t put out until a couple of weeks before Christmas. :christmastree1:

Frequent participation in liturgy and good use of Advent as a period of preparation are what come to mind immediately. Kicking charitable work into overdrive is a good idea too. My family carols at the nursing home where my grandma lives, and that’s something I look forward to.
