Um…no.

It’s totally irrelevant. Whe deprive the kid of a wonderful godparent just because he was ::gasp:: concieved in an unconvential way? It’s not the unborn kids fault!
I never said anything about refusing to be the godparent in the event they do not get married (which isn’t even an option for them), or due to the circumstances. I have no clue how you got this idea.

was this
He has asked me to be a godfather to the child, which I will readily do.
not clear enough?

The details were provided to give members of this forum more information of things they may struggle with, and what I might need to help with.

You seem to have a very aggressive agenda, and I don’t appreciate your judgmental attitude in this thread.

Relax.

I I assumed you thought the conception was relevant-you said it did matter. If I got the wrong impression, my bad.

Agressive agenda? Judgemental attitude? Thank you! I love having passion in life. 👍

The conception is relevant. Do you not agree that an out of wedlock conception is more problematic for a Catholic couple and their surrounding families, both socially and morally?

In PART, yes I do agree. It’s not the best circumstance, by any means. I pray it doesn’t happen to me or my friends.

However, we are humans. We sin. It’s part of nature. While God forgives us, often times we, as people like to point fingers and say-::gasp::-she was 2 months, 7 months, 28 months preganant when they got married-Stone them! Stone them! Humans are more judgemental than God is/was.

To the unborn child, it is completely irrlevant. Never, ever, should there be a stigma to the unborn child-or, in fairness, to the couple either.

I agree. No one should be punished for their parents’ mistake(s).

God may be more judgmental than humans (He has annihilated cities), but His judgement is Just, and ours is fallible.

Well, we don’t disagree than. Darn-disagreement is so much fun! 😉

Good luck my friend! I’ll keep you in my prayers!
