I was debating my friend about gay marriage the other day, with me being against it, and she for it. I said that logically, one could go down the steps to know that homosexuality (at least the acts) are a moral evil. (For example, we can know by logic that there is a God, and then that Jesus is God and we must follow His teachings, and His teachings are that homosexuality is evil).
She countered by saying that she does the same thing, and has come to another conclusion-that there isn’t a God, and homosexuality is not an evil.
Now, what should I say to this? That she does not follow truth? I’ve also been concerned by the fact that I firmly believe that my Catholic views are correct, but then would this mean that most of the world is simply not following truth? Why do others not come to similar conclusions?
