Wise words to use against demonic oppression:

Prayer is the MOST formidable weapon in the
Spiritual Warfare that is being waged. Remember,
Jesus came to destroy the works(kingdom) of the

Within the past two weeks I’ve had two cars break down, both on a weekend, one of which caused me to miss Mass. Luckily my brother came back from vacation and we just fixed the other one today.
One of my coworkers has it in for me and is doing everything within his power to get me fired or mad enough at him to quit. I’ve been trying to control my anger toward him and pray but I lose it several times a day.
There’s other small things that went wrong that have been piling up but ive been able to handle too. This is affecting my depression which I’ve kept controlled for years. I haven’t been at peace in awhile.

Am I making a bigger deal out of this than is necessary or is there a spiritual dimension to it?

ANY TIME AND EVERY TIME YOU ARE TEMPTED TO SIN… Satan can ONLY tempt us; not MAKE us sin. …on the car; if you did NOT freely- desire to Miss Mass it is NOT a Mortal sin.
 
In my case I’m currently experiencing demonic nightmares at least once a week. It’s always demon themed dreams or violent dreams.
 
My word, such a horrible thing to have had happen.

I’m always joking with one of my neighbors about his Ford van. He always calls me when something needs to be replaced like the most recent repair. The radiator.

One day I tried to get him to sell it or trade it in and I jokingly pointed to the Ford emblem and told him it means fix or repair daily.

He said " no, it means first on race day" !

I gave up lol
 
My two cents:

Talk to a good priest, say the St. Michael’s prayer, go to confession, say the daily rosary, increase the number of Masses you’re going to – in short, keep in the state of grace and trust in God… and please pray for me because I also suffer from depression… and have been dragging myself around lately.

Spiritual reading from solid Catholic sources is a good idea too.

There is always a spiritual dimension to life’s events. In all four Gospels Jesus says: “To save yourself, loose yourself for my sake.”
As well, the Scriptures tell us to rejoice when we are tried and refined by trials for surrendering to God’s perfect will for us individually, brings us kicking and moaning into spiritual maturity.
Surrender yourself to the Word of God; call upon the Lion of Judah, your savior Jesus Christ at the times of personal trial, like when you’re about to loose it over this coworker.
Btw, I once had a coworker who hated me after I posted a prolife flyer next to a abortion flyer. I think said: She’s a child not a choice. I ended up having to transfer. But in between, discovered one of the most groundbreaking epidemiological events in 1990s, and left the Ivy League to work with Johns Hopkins med researchers.

It could be a spiritual attack, but it also can be God testing your faith.

I’ve been in your same boat, and still going through it. I’ve been soooo mad at God many times asking him why am I going through this living hell and have even screamed at God in prayer to just take me home.

But I know theres a purpose in all this madness. Job in the Old Treatment lost everything because God allowed it. I really encourage you to read it to help you see things differently.

Also remember Saint James words:

St. James 1:2-4
Faith and Wisdom
2 My brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of any kind, consider it nothing but joy, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces endurance; 4 and let endurance have its full effect, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking in nothing.

Signs it is satan attacking:
  1. lack of peace
  2. difficulty praying
  3. obsession with things
  4. lack of fulfillment
  5. a feeling in the heart, or atmosphere, of ‘fear’, or ‘hate,’ or ‘anger,’ or ‘unforgiveness,’ or ‘jealousy,’
Saint Ignatious of Loyola has excellent writing on how to discern if satan or God is influencing you. ‘The Ignatian Guide to Almost Everything’ is a book I would recommend. Or google Saint Ignatious of Loyola’s method of discernment.

The cure: prayer, postivity, faith, blessed objects, humility, and prayers of protection : The Saint Michael Prayer, Holy Water, and the bible quote: ‘No weapon formed against me shall prosper in the Name of Jesus.’ (Repeat that phrase and believe it, Jesus asked almost all his clients to have faith before granting a miracle, just believe in God’s protective power.) 🙂

The keys of this book are: change your thought patterns, change your attitude, changes your faith in prayer, and this changes your life.
Jesus said after most of His miracles: ‘Your faith has made you well.’
