Yes, you are right…my dh says this too…he said…she isn’t even living a Christian lifestyle, let alone following Church teachings…so, why would she even think she’d be chosen?How about, “We would love to have you attend the Confirmation Mass. DD chose Mrs. X as her sponsor. Isn’t wonderful that she will have TWO people in her corner, praying for her, helping her and being there for her? Thank you for all of the prayers you have alreayd prayed for her”
All of this worry may be for naught. If your sister isn’t practicing her faith, it may not even cross her mind that she should be the first choice.
Well…we’re Italian. Things like this get weird. lol But, you’re right it maybe never come to this. The other thing is…I was the sponsor for her oldest son like 16 yrs ago…but, I was practicing the faith…(still am) but you know what I mean? My dh said if she feels slighted, she shouldn’t…she chooses to live the life she lives. We all have choices.
