Palm Sunday might be especially nice, as it’s very scripture-y, as well as very Catholic-y.

By the way, there are some very interesting developments going on in the Protestant world. Some previous very unliturgical Protestant churches are getting more liturgical. There’s been an outbreak of Advent wreaths and Ash Wednesday services in the most unlikely places. I know of a Baptist college in Texas where there’s been a joint Catholic/Baptist Ash Wednesday service on campus.

Baptists are extraordinarily theologically diverse, by the way.

Thank you all for the recommendations about resources and literature. I likely will carry some in my purse or car… then if the conversation goes well and they say, “Oh, I’d like to learn more about that…” I can volunteer the resources. We will see.

Boyfriend is a big fan of many Catholic apologists who tend to sound “I used to be Baptist but then I found the light”, as someone mentioned. He also reads many early Christian writers, too. I definitely favor the idea of giving his parents writing that is just geared more from an early Christian perspective.
