Try to enjoy the worry
When worry is inevitable, enjoy it and be wise
Even continued happiness leads to mental worry
Thus happiness and worry must be alternative
If you are worried by the continued happiness
You are worried at the cost of the result of your good effort

Instead of this it is better to get worry at the cost of your sin
Let the sin give some trouble and then you worry out of it
In this way the result of the sin is spent and the not the result of good effort
The loss in your present worry may be compensated in the future
But the time lost in your past worry cannot be compensated
Because the life span of any human being is fixed

Your loss may be compensated by million times in the future
But even one second of your lost time can never be compensated
Therefore, understand this and think about the value of the time
This knowledge of the value of time is called as ‘Kala Janana’
Which means the knowledge of the future that you should know,

Which provides the possibility of the compensation of all the loss
Except the loss of time, therefore, time is the most precious.
You may waste anything that can be again procured in the future,
But never waste the time, which you can never compensate.

There are two ways to escape the mental worry in this world
The first way is by obtaining the peace, which is zero
The second way is by achieving the bliss, which is plus
Worry is minus, peace is zero and bliss is plus
To escape minus, either you should be in zero or in plus

Bliss can be obtained only from the Lord in this world
Since Veda says that the Lord alone is bliss “Anando Brahma”
Veda also says that the Lord alone can give you the bliss
“Esha Hyeva Anandayati” this is quite logical in fact
The water is alone cool and so it alone can give coolness
Whatever is said in the Vedas, it is always logical

Dear dattaswami,

Thank you for presenting these views.

There’s two ways to look at time, I think.

“Work, for the night is coming…”
that is, carry out the commands of God,
be mindful that earthly existence may end at
any moment,

and

Christ is Lord of History…and therefore, time.

C.S. Lewis, the great Anglican apologist wrote, on
one occassion, that he had to come to understand
that time was not “his.” That each breath we take
is from God.

For Christians, time is passing, and being with
God for eternity is both goal and reward…based
on our actions, in this time-bound existence.

Christ told His followers not to worry.

“Which of you can add a moment to your
lifespan by worrying?” [paraphrase]
“Worry not about tomorrow, for this day
has worry enough, on it’s own.” [paraphrase]

I believe that the root of anxiety is known, to some,
as Ur anxiety…that is, the basic human fear
of non-existence.

But Christ said: I am the Way, the Truth and the
Life. And the priceless: “Fear not, little flock…”

I respect the fact that this is a view that you hold.

A Christian sits at the feet of Christ and hears Him say:
“Take up your cross, and follow Me…”

“Bliss” in the sense described in your post, is a
different reality, from that which a Christian might term
“ecstacy” which is a rare, God-granted experience.
Christ promised us peace, in this life, not bliss…

For most Christians, Christ is Lord of Time, and the
cross, not the lotus, is the symbol.

Many thanks for sharing the material in your post,

Best regards,

**Hi dattaswami and reen12, 🙂 **
**Thank you both for your very intersting posts. **

**reen12, **
I always find your posts thought provoking and insightful. I look forward to reading many more…

If I may be permitted to add to this thread…
When faced with problems; there are those things you can change, and those you can’t. The things you can’t change, there is no use worrying because it won’t change anything, and things you can, change them; and with all things, have faith…
Let Go; Let God!

Peace and love to you all.

I read in my parish newsletter many years ago about worry.

It said “worry was like a rocking chair, it moves back and forward but never gets you anywhere.”

I wish I can always do this all the time - give my burdens to Jesus and have Him thrown them to the sea. 🙂

Maybe try Matt 11:28.

God bless.

I’m glad that you said that. It reminds me that- when
loaded down with burdens in life - the* last* One I
ask, to help with these burdens, is Jesus.

When, in reality, He is the first Person I ought to turn to. :o
Thanks, ReubenJ, :tiphat:

One of my favorites from St. Paul:

“Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say rejoice. Let all men know your forbearance. The Lord is at hand. Have no anxiety about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will keep your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Phillipians 4:4-7

We only need one reason to refrain from worrying, and that it is that it cancels our prayers.

Hi reen12,

It happen to me all the times. The heavier the burden, the more I’m trying to shoulder it all on my own.

I’ve learned though after being taught a handful of lessons, that I can’t do everyhting all on my own. Thank God, slowly He shows me the way to trust Him with my worries. 'Cos ain’t He our refuge, our hiding place and our strong foundation?

Really, it’s a matter of being able to surrender. Lots of things will not go our ways and that’s the reality. But what are so precious that they are above our God? Everything will fade away but it’s Jesus, His Word, will stay. Over the years, by the grace of God, somehow I have been able to hang on this promise. And to much extent, it’s able to take away my worries as I shift my focus on something more important, something that matters - my Lord and His promises.

Praise the Lord.

God bless.

  • my Lord and His promises.
I think that’s beautifully said, ReubenJ.
