How do I pray the DoSP (Daughters of Saint Paul / Pauline) version of the Christian Prayer? I find that most tutorials online only show the Saint Joseph version. Please help. Many thanks in advance 🙂

I have no reason to doubt the helpfulness of the document linked by @phoage.

But: Please save yourself any headache/heartache by advice from anyone (including “Step 2” in that document) to get a “St Joseph Guide” – The St Joseph Guides are published by Catholic Book Publishing and are keyed to their books*. The page references will not help you with the Daughters of St Paul book and will serve only to frustrate.

As you might guess from their name and CBP’s motto: “Home of St Joseph Editions since 1911”

What Titivillus said. I’m sorry, I did not think of that but he is correct.

To reiterate, however, the document above does look helpful, and even acknowledges other editions of Christian Prayer than CBP’s (which some "help"s I have seen do not).

It has been a while since I have held a DoSP edition in my hands. Off the top of my head are two observations:

Disadvantage: The “rubrics”, if they can be called that, are not printed in red, but rather in a bold black typeface. (I think it was bold – Certainly different from the prayer texts, perhaps a different size, but still in black ink)

Advantage: The Morning Prayer and Evening Prayer Canticles – The Benedictus and the Magnificat – Are repeated throughout the Psalter (and perhaps other appropriate sections of the book), thus avoiding much of the “page flipping” that seems to thwart many beginners of the CBP version.

If you haven’t already, you might try calling the Daughters and asking if they have a guide, like the St. Joseph guide.

The DoSP CP does not have a guide though.

I have a DoSP CP for my recitation of the Liturgy of the Hours. The upside of that edition is that it has the complete Daytime Prayer, unlike the CBP.

There are four ribbons in the DoSP CP. I usually arrange them in this way:
Red: Proper of Seasons
Yellow: Psalter
Green: Proper of Saints
Violet: Commons

I suggest you use an ordo for that CP.
