How to Pray the LOH?

I 've had the one volume book of Christian Prayer for about 3 years now, but I don’t know how to pray it. I’d appreciate it if someone would explain how to pray the Liturgy of the Hours, where I begin, what I do with all those different colored ribbons, etc.

I’m mostly interested in knowing how to pray the morning and evening prayers.

When you get familiar with it you will realize why you need all the ribbon markers

Other practical advise: Find someone (parish, religious community, friend, et cetera) with whom you can pray and learn.
