How To Pronounce “breviary”?

Thanks everybody for chiming in! I’m just as confused as before but it’s nice to know everyone else is too 🙂 I think I will just say it one way pretty fast and hope it works.
 
This reminds me, when we pray the Confiteor prayer at Mass, one of our priests always pronounces “grievous” as “greev-ee-ous.” I thought to myself, am I pronouncing it wrong? But no, apparently he’s pronouncing it in an older, arcane way.
 
Coincidentally enough, where I went to Mass last Sunday, the priest used the word “brieviary” in his homily.

He pronounced it BREE-vuh-ree. 🙂

It is thievery to steal a breviary!
