How to re-educate so that people will understand about abortion?

I think those are great ideas…but I don’t think the schools will do them, I hear they pass out condoms instead…I don’t know, my kids are young and go to Catholic school anyway…Hollywood definitely makes no big deal about abortion and many kids listen to them…I used to be pro choice b/c my parents did not teach me about Jesus and never ever talked to me about sex or not having it or even mentioned the word…I only became anti abortion when i converted…I think prolife would start in the home b/c the people that I knew who were antiabortion, their parents taught them that way and they had Jesus in their lives…
Yeah i can attest to them passing out condoms in school and the whole sex ed course was kind of weak really it just consisted of them telling us how to use different forms of protection no mention of abstinence at all. My sex ed teacher even used a dildo do demonstrate how to put one on though she called it a “pipe”.

Both families and schools should teach children that life begins at conception, and that ALL people have a right to life. That might help more people grow up pro-life.

Advertising campaigns are great!

Are you going to pay for it? Big slick ad campaigns cost millions of dollars. Planned Parenthood HAS millions to spend.

As the pro life world does not have the financial support of the govt and private industry, we have to do what we can do on a shoestring budget.

Get involved with your local groups - they NEED you.

I think one thing a lot of people don’t realise is that many have abortions for financial reasons and in a materialistic home that is a respectable choice. There are some women that I know that chose to have abortions so that they didn’t claim benefit off the state and the single mother on low income is at the bottom of the pile socially. I’m not saying that it’s necessarily in the state’s financial interest to abort, as children could be adopted although some politicians may believe it cheaper than paying out on social security. We should not look down on the single mother as then we look up to the woman who has had an abortion.
When a woman has a child out of wedlock her sin is public. When a woman conceives a child out of wedlock but kills the child she hides her first sin with a second. Maybe these women need to face the same public consideration as those who allow their children to live.

I wonder, if pro-lifers raise pro-life children and pro-choicers raise pro-choice children then wouldn’t the pro-choice kill themselves off eventually?
**No. Because “choice” does not equal abortion in every circumstance. And don’t discount the fact that many children grow up wanting to be anything but clones of their parents.

Public schools are prohibited by law from teaching that and will be as long as abortion is legal.

First, it was tongue in cheek. Second of all I have never gotten drunk and beaten on my child so I already know that some kids do not want to be clones of their parents thank you.

Would you please cite your source?
Legally speaking the fetus is not recognized as being a person, therefore it is not legally recognized as being alive, therefore the public schools cannot teach this. If you want your kids to learn this in school, send them to Catholic schools. Catholic schools across the country are closing at a phenomenal rate and Catholics are complaining that public schools don’t teach Catholic morality. That does not make any sense to me.

Wow, the Democrats campaigned on the idea that they wanted to reduce abortion, and they also seem to have ga-zillions for everything else in their budget. I think an advertising campaign along the lines of no-smoking and no-drugs which showed pictures of unborn babies would be right up their alley.

How about a teen show where guys actively talk about not wanting to date a girl who has been around?

How about a campaign to get father’s rights recognized and understood?
"How about a teen show where guys actively talk about not wanting to date a girl who has been around?" How about a teen show that accurately depicts guys actively spiking their dates’ drinks with GHB? How about a teen show where girls get to identify every grabby classmate, every domineering step-father, every lecherous uncle and teacher and brother? I’d pay money to see those shows, and I’d pay twice that to get royal archer to acknowledge that it’s not just “loose girls” who are at the crux of the abortion problem.

Any guy who is pulling down his fly and does not know or understand a father’s rights ought to zip it right back up and do his research. And parents: it’s your duty to inform him of these rights - and the attendant responsibilities - before he leaves the house for “group activities” on a Friday night.

This is not the first time the girl who has “been around” has been mentioned by this poster. Sounds like some sour history to me.

Your right it isn’t just “loose girls” It is all of the females and their accomplice doctors who do not value life.

I also agree that shows should show girls as not interested in guys who have been around.

As for the spiking drinks, grabby classmates, and problems with relatives: These are not problems most people have to deal with. Ehile it is appropriate to acknowledge that these things happen it is better to get counceling for the specific victims of these occurances.

Yes, we know some nice young (20 something) girls who have been convinced that they have to sleep around to be liked and as a result they are having a hard time finding meaningful relationships. I have seen how this has negatively impacted their lives and hope that others do not fall into the same trap.

Can we all agree that there are bad apples on both sides of the sexual divide? That there are young men doing bad things to young women, and that there are young women doing bad things to young men?

**Though the spiking of drinks is relatively new, the grabby classmates and lecherous family members problem is older than dirt. Until you can understand this you will have a lopsided view of modern sexuality, of the problems that arise with it, and of abortion in general. That makes your opinion biased and, therefore, fairly useless. **

I realize that you have perceived that you have had a troubled life. But the activity you described is not the norm. We should not be promoting such activity as normal and expected. We should describe it as a rare situation that must be dealt with severly. And just because someone has had a bad life it does not give them a license to kill.

While “Hope” is just another meaningless catch phrase for the Obama administration. For the rest of us, it is a statement of intent that is followed up with action appropriate for each situation.

Somewhat off topic but sexual abuse unfortunately isn’t a rare situation :(. I believe that stats are 1 in 6 girls is abused at some point. And 1 in 8 boys. (I don’t have a link) Maybe the lecherous old guys, the grabby classmates, the guys who would put roofies in a girl’s drink to take advantage of her shouldn’t just be on a sexual offenders list with their addresses. Maybe they should be in prison until they are not capable of harming a child, a teen, a young adult.

Here’s some appropriate action you might want to delve into: investigate the totality of society in these United States. Catch up on your date rape and molestation and sexual assault stats and then adjust your viewpoint. Good grief, even if you just addressed molestation within the Church you would see the expanse of the problem!

**Who called you a drunk? Who said you beat your kid? And what does either have to do with kids wanting autonomy and individuality?
