How to receive the Precious Blood?

For the last few Masses, I’ve been receiving the Eucharist on my knees, and its exactly where I need to be to receive Him (though if I could, I’d scrunch into a little ball prostrate on the floor to receive Him, Mighty is He and unworthy am I!).

Then I’ve gone ahead to receive the Precious Blood, but I’ve done so standing–except today, where I knelt to receive the Blood also.

My question: I know it’s acceptable to receive Eucharist when kneeling, but should I also kneel to receive the Precious Blood like I did today, or should I remain standing?

Remain standing! It’s very dangerous to try and kneel to receive the Precious blood, unless you are at an altar rail.
 
Right, so that it doesn’t spill and to prevent the possibility of others tripping over me, correct?
 
Since Jesus in completely present in the Eucharistic Host I do not receive Him under the species of wine. I commend you on kneeling for the reception of Holy Communion. I strongly wish that more people would do the same.
 
THANK YOU. I would like to know where it is said that we should bow before the Precious Blood even if we are not receiving?
 
Why not receive by intinction if possible? Or maybe through the gold tube like the pope used to at a pontifical high mass? Is the latter even an option?

As a Recovered Alcoholic (23 years sober in AA), I also receive the host only. :o
