he demonstrably doesn’t understand the theological virtue of hope as it pertains to the Bp Barron discussion
Why don’t you explain it to us? rev martin calls the Holy Spirit a “she”. Seems the bishop needs to provide teaching not endorsements
What? Who is Rev Martin and what does this have to do with my post? Maybe you confused my post with another?

Pray for the hierarchy; don’t try to be the hierarchy.

Much of the carping over bishops is misplaced, exaggerated, and just plain wrong.

Pray more, complain less, and stay away from click-bait sites that do nothing to help, and typically just pour gasoline on smoldering dumpster fires.

In particular, pray each day for our Supreme Pontiff, Francis; his daily challenges and work are beyond most people’s comprehension.
Deacon Christopher

Notice what Sheen is not saying. He’s not saying Laity should do the role of the priest, religious, bishop.
Does the laity have (name removed by moderator)ut? Can the laity influence the bishop?
Have you noticed how few threads there are about what kind of work
Laity can do towards prolife, school vouchers, stopping the breakdown of families?

Arguably there are 10 times as many threads urging laity to evaluate bishops, actions and inactions. Is it “(name removed by moderator)ut” when people read Church Militant?

Is that what you call (name removed by moderator)ut? Sounds like another term for lay passivity.

You wrote, “it is better to work with the bishops and try to reach common ground.” What is that common ground? If there is none, then such advice is pointless.

And some correct
Is it “(name removed by moderator)ut” when people read Church Militant?
Content matters not who or what group puts it out. Is it true or not. This author defends bishops in his article and people still complain.
Is that what you call (name removed by moderator)ut?
He is calling for people to work with the bishops , that is what I call (name removed by moderator)ut

Look at the scandals of the past few decades, the laity sometimes needs to speak up
threads urging laity to evaluate bishops, actions and inactions
Are the inactions okay? Should we just ignore error and wrong doing because they are bishops? What has that got us before?
What is that common ground?
On each specific issue there is common ground that usually can be found. I can’t state what the common ground is until I know the others position. Obviously all bishops don’t have the same opinion about even intrinsic evils, yet church teaching should be common ground

From what I remember, red-pilling comes from that Hollywood movie The Matrix , where those who take the red pill realize unpleasant truths, which ironically includes the point that red-pilling also makes one critical of Trump…
You left out the part about “and also recognize that he was by far the least bad option we had.”

Now, whether Mr. Biden calls himself a Catholic or a Buddhist or a Hare Krishna, Mr. Biden is not the legitimately elected President of the United States. “
These few lines clearly discredit the author… radical conspiracy … pres Trump is a one termer… sad for many, but accept it and move on

I don’t see that either side can make such bold assertions. That invalid votes have been counted in favour of Joe Biden is not seriously in doubt. What is unclear is whether this happened on a sufficiently big scale to make a difference to the final outcome.

The fact that 18 out of 19 bellwether states voted for Trump is an indicator that this was in fact the way the election would have gone, if conducted without illegal interference.

This is something which only due process will tell.

First, why do you ask? The fact that you suggested that both sides meet on some common ground implies that you already know what they are and what that ground is.

Second, are you sure you don’t want to figure out what those two positions are by reading the article yourself?

You’re right, it is not seriously in doubt that invalid votes were counted in this election. There is no serious evidence that there was more distortion this time than in every previous election.

There continues to be no evidence of wide spread voter fraud that impacted the election.

It was a very convincing win… millions more votes were cast for Biden over Trump and a large margin of victory for Biden looks inevitable in the electoral college.

The President is unfortunately perpetrating lies and falsehoods all over the place and is purposefully sowing doubt where there really should not be any. There is no dignity in his last actions…

They just “found” thousands more votes in Georgia, Nevada is having their elections disputed, more evidence of fraud in Michigan, and Pennsylvania is an absolute
mess. . . .

Let’s see… Single source of information, head in sand, hypnotized and spoon-fed, ignoring reality. Sounds very much like those regurgitating the baseless allegations of widespread fraud.

No that actually does not apply at all to what I said. . . .

Maybe try watching something other than CNN for a change and you’d be more informed. But if you’re happy to be hypnotized and be spoon-fed what to think because it’s comfortable, continue keeping your head in the sand. Reality will hit you sooner or later.
Does making made up claims about my news intake make you feel better Templar?

Unless you have some evidence of widespread corruption, I suggest that reality will hit you sooner than it will hit me. As of today, there is none…

The GA incident that you mention seems routine and does not alter the results.

Nevada? There is no basis for the attacks on the integrity of the votes. It is decisive.

PA - Trump’s lawyers are walking away from the case in droves to maintain their credibility as attorneys. This one is on its last legs…

MI - Claims of voter fraud do not hold up to scrutiny …

It appears the only real challenge to the elections credibility exists in Trump’s head and is mouth-pieced by Guiliani.

Sad day for America to watch a President flailing out of control and putting his ego above the American people. I wish I could say it was a surprise, but it just isn’t. It is who Trump is.

There are none so blind as those who will not see. You could take a look at the post by @godisgood77, who did a better analysis of specifics than I did, since I was just trying to point out the “pot, meet kettle” aspects of your post.

And my name should have had a question mark at the end, but the system wouldn’t allow it, for what it’s worth.
