How To Report New Age Blend Facility

Recently I was alarmed to find that an invited speaker at our church was mentioning such New Age concepts as “feminine divinity,” Eco-spirituality, universalism, transcendentalism and more! This was an invited speaker from a local well-known retreat/conference center which is sponsored by an equally well-known religious order.

I am concerned and have made my concerns known to one of our parish priests. Aside from my opinion of this speaker’s talk, a look at their website reveals a flood of New Age, pagan and humanist junk being written, produced and preached by faculty.

My question is, do we have a proper route for a complaint like mine, that would trigger a closer look from our bishop to see just what is going on at this place?

It’s bad enough that our faith is under constant attack from popular culture- we don’t need wolves in sheep’s clothing too, who come to your parish, invite you on retreat and then preach a load of tree worshiping, polytheistic, self-realizing mumbo jumbo!

HELP.

(And yes, mumbo jumbo is a technical term, I looked it up )

If your Priest won’t act, write a letter to your Bishop and call his office until you are able to speak with him.

The first place to go is your pastor. However, the bishop also needs to be notified so that other parishes do not bring these people in. If a religious order is fostering this within the diocese, the bishop may need to act as well.

Hopefully your pastor will act in an appropriate fashion and then notify the bishop himself. If he does not, then it falls to you.

Do you have a link for the group in question, so that others might be on the lookout for such things showing up in their diocese and parishes?

HOWEVER, he does have the authority to prohibit them from speaking at his parish churches, giving retreats at parishes, and can prohibit his flock from going to retreats there (although it probably won’t stop those who are determined to do so).

Agreed. There isn’t much which can be done to curtail activity inside of a religious house, but at least it can be prevented from taking place in the parishes, and the laity can be educated about what is going on there.

It was the best way I could describe what I was to post about, within the confines of a short topic headline.

I guess you could call it a blend when someone talks about our savior Jesus in one breath, then goes on to talk about how we are all God and there is no devil in the next.

Sad part is, stuff doesn’t mix well with truth- once you start pouring in a little self-worship, tree worship and denial of the Bible and Catholic teaching, what you are left with, however sweet it tastes, is still rotten meat.
