Here are a few I could remember of.
First and most important, ABSOLUTELY NO ONE is entitled to Heaven. This is really important to understand. Therefore, there is no evil in sending people to hell. In fact, God created us out of goodness, so we could see His perfection. This is the greatest gift ever! No earthly gift compares to this, not even billions of dollarsor the love or our lives or whatever. So if we deny his gift, it’s our own fault.
Second, we go to hell according to our deeds. God only set the rules with the Convenants (now we are in the everlasting Covenant with Jesus Christ) and gives the sentence after the judgment when we die. Once again, how we live defines where we go. The rules were given beforehand.
Third, we live in an age which it is hard to at least not know the Catholic Church. What happens is that most people deny her. But those people who never heard of her, or are blinded by third parties, can still obey the natural law and live a decent life. These people won’t go to hell, so no worries. They just won’t be with God.
Lastly, God is so good and just, that even evil people have temporary happiness during life. Evil rich people, for instance, end up doing some good things. In return, God allows them to enjoy their richness on earth (I laughed the first time I heard this but it really makes sense once we think about it. Heh).
I learned this on catecism. I’ll read the other reasons now. I’m curious.
