Hi everyone,
A protestant who is engaging in a debate with me is saying that the Church teaches that “Jesus isn’t the only way to heaven”.
I asked him for his source and this is what he said:

I have the following quotes from the catechism
“Every man who is ignorant of the Gospel of Christ and of his Church, but seeks the truth and does the will of God in accordance with his understanding of it, can be saved.” #1260
It is saying that if you don’t know about Christ, you can still be saved as long as you do what God wants. It says that you don’t need Jesus at all for salvation. There is also this verse that states how all Muslims are saved too.
“The Church’s relationship with the Muslims. “The Plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims: these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind’s judge on the last day.”” #841
There are also so many other verses that contradict each other… but I think this is enough to show you that Catholicism states that Jesus is not the only way… even though He said that He was the only Way, the Truth, and the Light. John 14:7
I encourage you to test all things like Paul says to test all things and beware anyone who tries to deceit you through philosophy and empty deceit of the world and not according to Christ. (Colossians 2:8)
