One way to ask my question is - “How do you know when one of your prayers has been granted?”

But I chose to title this post “How to say successful prayers?” because it’s kind of where I am at.

Starting on Aug 1, I prayed into late Sept (my goal was Oct 4th). The prayers were somewhat interrupted, but it seemed like they were also very successful. Things were just being given to me, and I got a lot out of the experience.

Oct 4th came and went, and it’s like back to normal now. I’ve got some prayer ideas for the future, but - if I had my druthers - I’d rather keep getting all the cool things God sends… so I’d rather keep praying… 🙂

I’m being a bit silly, I know, but I do want to keep praying… It’s just the Month of Aug/Sept lead up to Michaelmas in an “Autumn Lent”… Now I’m kind of stuck between the holidays and not so driven… so - what to do?

I kinda feel like I need to do the “Mosaic Wave”.

When Moses lifted his arms - the Israelites had the lead in the battle; when he lowered them, they were losing… so a couple of guys helped him prop up his arms until they won…

So they figured out the Mosaic Mojo was to keep his arms up… I guess my question is - what was I doing right that my prayers worked? If I do it again, maybe it’ll help! I wasn’t lifting my arms, though…

🤔

Be careful with that attitude, Wm777. You may find yourself not getting your prayers answered in the affirmative. You may get “No” or “Not now” instead. Those are also answers.

I know what you mean, and I appreciate the admonishment. Ty. 🙂 (yes, really!)

I think I am just looking for something to do, if that makes any sense… The next prayer I want to really dive into begins in early November (such that it will end on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception on Dec 8th)…

I dont want to wear myself out before then, but then it’s kind of boring trying to find something to do in the meantime…

It depends on what you are praying for. I understand it as being used to advance in the spiritual life.
