not anti-V2, I am anti-“spirit of V2”. V2 never called for most of the changes I’m sure you embrace. It never called for a new Mass, CITH nor EMHCs. I shudder to think what you consider Church teaching.
The changes made are not the Spirit of V2 but what was called for in V2. This is were many traditionalist are mislead. Changes in the mass, recongition of the role of the laity in the Church. These are not things made up, they were approved by the bishops. Norms have been established for CITH as well as EMHC and lay lectors.
Many traditional priests are not outside the Church so why don’t you take this opportunity to exit this discussion. At this point you are embarrassing yourself.
If they are teaching that the EF is the only true form of the mass, they are teaching outside the Church. What I see are most are commenting on things they don’t like, CITH of EMHC amoung others. This is less than useful for building unity in the Church.
The OP has been given a clear example of how difficult it can be to sort through so much information.
Not really, there are several understandable explantions of the Church’s Catichism available, the parish is still the best starting point.
I’m sure the group you are in does not support SP but the Vatican does.
I’m not certain what you are refering to as SP, but if you think it’s returning to a pre V-2 church, it isn’t going to happen. What many traditionalist see as the pope turning back time, is not. It is an attempt to bring some fractions of the church together. If he truely did not like CITH of EMHC he could bring them to a stop. But yet the practices continue. Perhaps in his wisdom he knows that doing so would turn away many of the faithful, the opposite of what you propose.
Your group may resist Church tradition but the Truth never changes.
The truth of God’s word and salvation does not change. Church tradition is built on itself. To say it doesn’t change would ignor the changes made at every council throughout the history of the Church. My ‘group’ embraces the apostlistic tradition of the Church as it is lead by the Holy Spirit through the Magisterium.
The websites I provided should shine through the current fog of narcissism and confusion.
Many of the websites you provided are echo chambers of each other. They recirculated the same discussions and the same articles.

Prove it.
If they are teaching that the EF is the only true form of the mass, they are teaching outside the Church.
The Pope disagrees with you and unless your Deaconship outranks him then you should follow authority. Perhaps you should be more concerned with priests who invent their own liturgy, preach contraception, divorce and gay marriage are ok, that sin is relative, and women should be priests. Maybe the blurry distinction between clergy and laity is clouding your reason.

You have proven that is not necessarily the case.
I’m not certain what you are refering to as SP,
This doesn’t surprise me.

You should realize this is nothing more than your opinion. You do not know where the Holy Spirit it taking us and to do so is self-idoltary. I realize you resist this return to tradition as you won’t be able to play “priest” but all the indications from Rome indicate a ‘reform of the reform’ is activated.

I trust the Pope is very wise indeed. He knows the sin of pride has infused many Catholics that a sudden removal of the Indult would cause scandal. Yet, he only gives Holy Communion to those kneeling and on their tongues. The new bishops around the world are calling for more traditional practices and a return of the TLM. Take a look at the Church beyond your self glorified walls.

So far you have shown no evidence of this.

Really? You’ve read them all?

As you are a poster child of the ‘spirit of V2’ there is probably nothing to be gained from continuing this discussion. Why anyone with such modern views would spend time in the Traditional Catholic forum is beyond me. Are you just looking for a fight while claiming a desire for unity?

Here’s something for you to consider with an open mind:

Prove it.

I really neither have the time or inclination to prove anything to you.

No matter what I say or what evidance I can produce you would find an opposite view. It become a down ward spiral and one that I have no wish to partipate. It is unfortunate that instead of participating in a conversation that we could find common ground to agree upon , you instead question my motives, sources and knowledge of the Church.
All I can offer is a hope that you might come to see how the Holy Spirit is active in the Churh, and how there is a place for all sides to be at home.

Peace,
FAB
