My Grandma’s friend’s husband passed away last year. Just last night, I was sitting in the drive way (in my dream this happened), in my car. He drove up with a happy expression on his face. I was shocked and surprised. He’s alive! He really didn’t die. That was going on in my mind. Then, another question that hit me, was, how did they found out he was still alive? He was buried. How did they get him out of the ground? He then began to get out of the car. But something bothered me. Nay, it was scary and frightening. As he approached our home, making his way to my Grandma, I jumped out of my car and chased after him. Because, he was going to my Grandma like a spirit. As a ghost would Taking down her soul. To death. That’s why I chased after him. His face had a cryptic smile. I wanted to stop him from possessing my Grandma’s soul.

Not a happy or pleasant dream. I am so glad it was over.

But with dreams, Joseph when captive in Egypt, had interpreted dreams. In my opinion. something is afoul around my home. Something evil.

A dream is a dream. I get that. But, like all our senses, they indicate something. Something like the devil, is real. He is also a deceiver. And plays as an angel of light. The dream was the impression the man was alive still. It made me glad and happy. That he really wasn’t dead. And he had a happy smile on his face. But, then my capacity for reason came in. I questioned “how/?” But suddenly as he came out of the car, he was not walking normally, but floating like. And that made me concerned. Because, as I approached my Grandma, for whom he was approaching. He jumped, as it were, into her body. So, like the devil, this was the appearance of something good. The man was alive. But, when he got out of the car, he was going towards my Grandma as a spirit. And, when I got closer going after him, where my Grandma was in bed, his soul/spirit went to go into her body. Which is not a person coming back to life. So it was some spirit, in my dream. And my body, for whatever reason, was impressed with hit.

A great site/book is “Dream Moods” and “dreammoods.com” While it links to some new-age stuff the actual content is really good. It is based on psycology and from many people that I know fairly accurate at sussing out the meaning of symbols in dreams. It is skewed towards traditional American culture so it is not as accurate, say, for someone from Asia or the like.

I would not say “it´s simply a dream, get over it, it means nothing” as maybe some people say. I experienced in many times that my dreas gave me helpul advice on issues my wake up me wouldn´t like to think of, or simply can´t because of less time or fear to have a clear and serious minute of thinking. Then we have biblical examples of dreams with a meaning - I won´t define prophetic dreams as the same, don´t get me wrong, but dreams are a tool like all the other ones to make us thinking - logic, pain, emotional joy.
I would also add that the way of thinking like “it´s only a mental process” is the most antiquated medicinical teaching. We won´t ignore pain, but we gnore dreams? Both can be a totally simple reason, like, stress at work or a flu, but it´s first a sign of our body AND soul. There are cultral dependent motives based on our tradition and background we can interpret. For example, a doctor once told me the motif of loosing teath in a dream is very common in the western hemisphere in stages of mental trouble or transmission. I take my dreams serious, but I can differ between “the upcycled daystress via dreaming” and a serious wake up call. It´s a matter of how close you are to yourself.

In the past, I have had bad dreams. But this was different. It involved my Grandma, and her friend’s husband. The fact what I saw and believed to be a person, with a body, not dead after all. Then, suddenly got out of the car, and floated to my Grandma’s home, and then my Grandma. The man was not alive, but a spirit of him. In the dream, at least my mental faculties (though not realizing it was a dream.) But still, my mental faculties did question “how.” And that he proceeded to move not as an ordinary person, would, alarmed me. So something was bothering me. Not sure what. But the fact it wasn’t like Lazarus who Jesus called out of the tomb. Wherefore he had an ordinary body. Wasn’t a spirit or ghost. Whereas, the depiction of my Grandma’s Friend’s husband, was.

Most likely the dream is more about you than anything else. It is reflecting you unconscious concerns. It might help to journal. Have a dialogue with the male figure as well as your grandmother and your dream self.

I get your point. The grounds you provide are solid. Good evaluation. But I am questioning why it was presented in a way, wherefore this man first appeared to be “alive.” That afterall he was not dead. And yet, when he approached to my Grandma’s home, he floated. Then from there, his spirit came to possess my Grandma.

Would death deceive? The man drove in a car into our driveway. And then, when he got out of the car, he moved like a ghost. From there, he went into my Grandma’s room, and moved upon her like something from poltergheits.

Again, your point is valid. I’m not refuting that. It’s just the peculiar tell tale signs. The fact is my mind was processing what I saw as if I would should had I seen this happen awake. I could beg the question, if he’s still alive, how? I was glad when I saw him. Extremely glad. To know he is alive. But when he turned out from the car, it became a portent, a ghost-like that went over to her.

I know my Grandma will pass away sometime. I get that. And sure, that does bother me, the thought of her death. No doubt about anything you’ve said in that way. But (and maybe my mind is processing too much like Father Brown), it was all peculiar.

If you are Catholic why not talk to a priest that you can trust? It is not good to get hung up on dreams that upset you. That takes your eyes off of Jesus.

Pray to our Lord Jesus Christ for His peace.

I’ve had many bad dreams…did they scare me, you bet No need to go into detail, other then to say some were a little similar to yours. Yet I took them for what they were, just dreams, , Just as you fear there is evil involved, there is always something to fight off evil. Say the most powerful prayer to St. Michael the Archangel each night before you go to sleep. St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray. And do thou O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world, seeking the ruin of souls…May Jesus keep you and yours close to His merciful Heart…🦋🦋🦋

There are few catholics that have the training to spiritually understand night dreams. Which are sleeping visions .
I have 50 years of experience .and have enjoyed john Paul Jackson’s teachings. On this type of spiritual decernment.

In a since it is like praying in tongues With interpretation.
Because if you are Not prophesying in your normal voice . then you probably will not understand how to apply this spiritual gift.
