Does anyone have any practical examples of how to trust in Jesus?

For example,if you are faced with a unrelenting circumstance such as a serious illness or some other “no way out” circumstance, how do you make yourself trust Jesus especially when you feel you have tried to trust Jesus will help before and been let down?
How can a person be sure that their trust is based on solid ground and isn’t delusional?

Does trusting Jesus have anything to do with the bible passages about the mustard seed and also when the disciples were in the boat and if so,how to apply them today?

just because you trust in Jesus doesn’t mean you’ll get what you want, but you’ll get what you need.

Yes,I understand that but I mean more the case when you don’t get any change.

Faith is the ultimate hope (not blind hope) in what you don’t see (or feel) necessarily. At its lowest level it’s “choosing to believe in spite of…” and at its highest peak is “knowing” (still invisible/intangible). It is also the Peace you shall have within you under any circumstance, no matter how bad, painful or devastating the conditions are. Remember, “we are in this world, but not of this world…”, and so it is that perspective we all strive to attain. But not just on the surface, yet deep down within our core.
  1. it is NOT easy to acquire true faith without trials. However, on the flip side, each and every trial is a chance for upgrading to the next level in your spiritual journey, for you will come out of it stronger and more mature every time, just like steel is refined by fire.
2.Jesus says that the Father needs to draw you close to Him. Jesus also said that He chose us first, and not the other way around. (it is His Grace)
  1. You are here questioning/searching which means you are already drawn (called by Him) one way or the other. Don’t study yourself, instead study the word of God. Whenever i stumble in my faith due to, say, not hearing/feeling God or doubting His existence or the whole thing, i go back to its academical side… What do i mean? Well, you have a 3,500 year old revelation to review, and a 2,000 year old Church along with her Saints and Teachings to study. Believe me, when you see the academical side making all the more sense as you delve into understanding intellectually what lies beneath each and every single teaching of the Church, your weak faith turns into a knight in full armor ready for battle! And meanwhile, if you’re lucky enough to be slapped in the face by life (trials) and God extends a hand, which you see in retrospect much later in the big picture, then that particular faith becomes your most valuable asset in life.
  2. You will stumble and fall again… However, remember it’s all about getting up and running the race no matter what. And that’s “faith” for you right there.

You’re going to be stuck with the situation whether you trust in Jesus or not.

Not trusting in Jesus is not going to make it any better.

Trusting in Jesus may give you some fresh insight or some inner peace, as well as grace to deal with the situation.

Trusting in Jesus does NOT mean you will get the outcome you want. It also doesn’t mean that you can’t continue to make efforts to help yourself or get out of the situation if it’s something you have any control over.

Trusting in Jesus is not always easy, but you should try to do it anyway. It gets easier with practice.

Trusting would involve a few steps otherwise like you said, it will have no meaning.

You can start by knowing, believing and surrendering before you trust. Where are you now? A question you need to answer yourself.

Look at the book “7 lessons from heaven” it is a true example of a NDE.
