Wasn’t this written about the time the Muslims “conquered” the holy land?

Not saying I agree with the Muslim faith…but I found this interesting

I do as well. I do not agree with all aspects of the muslim faith either, (only the ones that are also taught by the Church), but I know from experience that not all muslims are crazy terrorists. I have a good friend who is muslim, and she has never been anything but kind to me, and we both agree wholeheartedly, that the immodesty and sexual promiscuity of this world is a big problem. However, I did not know that Muhammad had made such statements, although I am glad to hear that he did. It is still very sad though that he was so tricked by a demon into starting a new religion.

We do not know if this authentic because it is claimed that the original is lost and this one was written in the 1500’s, which begs the question, who’s palm print is on the document.

Anyway, this letter contradicts Muhammads statement posted in a hadith:

Sahih Muslim Book 19. Jihad and Expedition #4366

Chapter : Evacuation of the Jews from the Hijiz.

It has been narrated by 'Umar b. al-Khattib that he heard** the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) say: I will expel the Jews and Christians from the Arabian Peninsula and will not leave any but Muslim.**

Peaceful Muslims are not peaceful because of Islam, but in spite of it.

Yes. I am cautious about this letter. My thoughts are (and I’ve told this to my Muslim friend) that as far as I am concerned, why is Mohammed protecting the Monastery when they are worshipping Jesus?

Yeah ~ also take a look at at-taubah 9.31

They have taken their rabbis and their monks-as well as the Christ, son of Mary-for their lords beside God, although they had been bidden to worship none but the One God, save whom there is no deity: the One who is utterly remote, in His limitless glory, from anything to which they may ascribe a share in His divinity!

What demon tricked Muhammad ? Does a demon blind the Jews ? Heavy statement…is this what the Catholic Church teaches ?

I don’t know if that is Church teaching or not, but considering that fact that he claimed to have been visited by an angel who told him those lies, I conclude that a demon visited him, claiming to be an angel. I supposed that he could have made it up, or been hallucinating, but I doubt it. But that is my opinion, and, as far as I know, not Church teaching.

Oic thanks.😃

Btw doesn’t the monastery presently still have an extensive library of original Christian writings/documents?

I second that. I also think the ‘angel’ that visited Mohammed and inspired him was a ‘Fallen Angel’.

I am a managing attorney in a firm owned and run by Muslims. So, I deal with them daily, and have had many clients who are Muslim. It was one of the partners who gave me this link. He is the same one who has told me that true Muslims are peaceful, but the press only shows us the radicals…and the radicals are the worst.

They have done nothing but be good people who are very peaceful.

As to its accuracy? He says it is accurate. I do not know.

But I have read the Koran and “people of the Book” are mentioned frequently.

Yes, all the Muslims I know (8 so far) are wonderful peace loving family people. We are only seeing the minority on the news because what they do is ‘newsworthy’.

Doesn’t change my opinion that Mohammed was visited and inspired by a Fallen Angel.

Sure. Muslims are well meaning and I don’t doubt their sincerity. But somethings don’t add up to me regarding Mohammeds decree of protection. Why protect a place that “blasphemes” God?

All I can see so far is the continued existence of the monastery is due to our Lords protection. It’s similar to me like when Pontius Pilate stipulated “what I have written I have written” although he didn’t really give a hoot about what Jesus’ followers believed.

Probably the same Fallen Angel that tries to fool Catholic’s by pretending to be our Blessed Mother in some of the apparitions.?

I do not know much about Islam, but had never thought of it as begun by a demon. Do know they have a strong prayer life, and when they fast they truly fast.

The Church doesn’t have any mention of Mohammed but does know Muslims do worship God.

What is true fasting to you?

In Islam the fasting is a law isn’t it?

Yes, maybe the same one who knows?🤷 There are thousands of Fallen Angels seeking man’s ruination, which is why we rely on the Church to approve apparitions.

There are some who claim the CC started Islam. Islam began 500years after Our Lord was crucified and resurrected when Mohammed starting receiving visits from an Angel.

The Angel made revelations which were used in creating this new religion. Mohammed taught that only Mary and Jesus were not touched by the Devil upon their birth. He followed Jesus and yet taught in contradiction to Jesus as to the nature of the Father. Muhammad wrote: “And it is not appropriate for the Most Merciful that He should take a son.” (Maryam 19:92)

The Koran makes God out to be an imperfect creature, that God cannot be good, only great. Good and great are seldom the same thing. The Koran also continues to make allegations that have no historical backing at all such as Abraham going to Saudi Arabia to nearly sacrifice his son Ishmael, instead of Israel.

Islam does not teach that Jesus is God. It believes the Trinity to be false.

These contradictions tell me something about the Angel that visited Mohammed.

The Koran contains some beautiful texts as do Hindu and Buddhist texts. There is some beauty contained in most religions.

There is only one Truth. For me it’s Catholicism, for a Muslim its Islam, for a Buddhist its Buddhism etc etc

It doesn’t mean individual practitioners of any of the faiths I mentioned are not decent, peace loving people who are actually living their lives according to the Gospel. Or that they will not go to Heaven, that is for God to decide.
