How understanding is god? Can’t really find anything catholic on this answer so I thought I would ask here.

I haven’t heard that one before. Where, or in what context, did you see or hear it?

Sounds vaguely like Eastern religion. Buddhist? Hindu? I don’t know.

How understanding of what, exactly? I suppose you mean sin, right?

God knows everything we have done, and already knows everything we will do. He knows what caused us to do these things, if we enjoyed doing them, and if we regret doing them. He also considers if we consented to these things willingly, or if our consent was forced from us. I suppose that God’s judgement of a particular sin takes these things into account, in addition to to the severity of the sin.

So, I would say that He is the most understanding being.

Well first you have to know the difference between god and God.

Yes God is understanding, infintely more than " church militants, apologetics, and the Catholic Church as a whole ".

So there is your short answer.

Understanding is of God; it comes from God.

Lack of understanding, in my opinion, is to be deceived.

Deception is from the devil.

Jesus is fully God and fully Man, so He “gets” us.
He went through all the same emotions of us.

God is very understanding.

HE is not an uncaring deity who watches from the clouds; HE came down to Earth, became man, and suffered pain and death. God knows our pain and sorrows well because he has felt them himself.
