A little late… but anyway… figured I’d ask anyway, maybe we can all just share a little… Mine was great. It was nice and I was glad to celebrate the 150th anniversary of this wonderful day!

Mine was “Blue” which caused me to see RED.

I was blessed to have the day off. We had Mass in the morning and evening. They were well attended. Last Sunday, our pastor preached that it was a grave sin to miss Mass on this day without a valid reason. We have a large group of teens that study for Confirmation on Wednesday night. We told them that the class would meet to attend Mass. It was nice to see all the young people in church.

God bless,
Deacon Tony SFO

Ours started a little hectic. We had planned to go to 6:30 am Mass because my husband had a funeral vigil that night (to cover for a priest who needed to be at his parish to offer Mass). Overslept. Got to work & started calling all the parishes in the area to see who might have a noon Mass. Found one right down the street. Had a beautiful lunch hour at Mass and I was completely refreshed. The rest of the day was wonderful! 🙂

Mine was enlightening for many reasons, I managed to learn a lot. Sadly, Canadians aren’t required to go to Mass for the Immaculate Conception. I never knew it was a Holy Day of Obligation throughout my life either, and as such I didn’t attend Mass. Now I know though, and can be there next year. I felt terrible when I found out it was a Holy Day of Obligation everywhere but Canada.

At least I learned something though.
