How well do you know your godparents?

They were my cousins and only kids when I was born. Godmother was 12 and godfather was 10 when I was baptized. They were a large part of my life, not as godparents but as cousins who lived next door.

Although my kids have relatives (aunts, uncles, and cousins) as their godparents, we lived far from them and they were never involved in our kids’ lives.

Okay, so this thread inspired(?) me to type a couple of words at Google to discover that they are both deceased. (He in '97, she in 2015)

Gives me 2 more souls to pray for and to seek the intercession of. 😉👍
 
My God Parents were family friends. I’m not exactly sure what happened but they distanced themselves from the family. I don’t know either of them very well and they haven’t made any attempts to contact me.
